I spent an hour or so brainstorming with a pencil and notepad. Then I spent about 4 hours all together in sketchup getting all the kinks worked out. I wcan post some pictures and the sketchup file when the contest is over if anyone is interested.

Today after work I was able to check out McKinley Hardwoods a hardwood and molding supplier in South OKC. I had not used them before, and it was a great experience, they have a lot of material on hand and were very helpful I would highly recommend them to anyone in the area looking for a hardwood supplier. I was able grab up all the wood i will need for the Challenge project, as well pickup some additional wood for a couple of other projects I have waiting on me.

Tonight I got an hour or so in the Shop/Garage so I did some rearranging cleaning and put my resaw blade back on my bandsaw. I am hoping that I will be able to start processing the rough lumber in the next couple of evenings.

I will keep you all posted.

Hey all I just wanted to touch base again. I was excepted in the The Sawdust Chronicles 30 Day Woodworking Challenge. It's, as it says, a 30 day challenge that started on May 1st and Ends on May 30th. The Project that was selected for the challenge is based on this Desk top Organizer. These plans are more of a starting point, so there is still quite a bit of room for my own design ideas. That brings me to today..

So far I have spent a couple of hours sketching out different ideas for the desktop organizer, I have a few ideas that I am working with and I am hoping that with some more time with a pencil, sketch book, and then with a little time using SketchUp, I hope to nail down a design for my project. Today I also visited my local Woodcrafters, to price some of the different types of wood I am thinking about using... The wood was a little more expensive then I had anticipated, so I am going to get my design lined out as much as possible so I can get a better idea of how much wood I am going to need.

On another note.. I can't believe it has been so long since our last post. Well, I guess, I should say my last post since Tyler hasn't posted in FOREVER!! Where to start?....... We moved back to Oklahoma in July. Arizona was nice, but there really is no place like home. I'm working for a "hospital" for children with developmental disabilities. It's called a hospital, but its not near as "sterile" as your traditional hospital. The hubby is working for a land surveying and civil engineering company in Edmond. We bought our very first new home in August. If you really want to feel like a grown up, buy a house. We love the freedom and the stability it offers and it is so nice to know that it's ours and we can do whatever we want with it. Well, that's about it for right now....hope everyone is doing well. Congrats to Mark and Candice on their soon-to-be new home and their new puppy. Congrats to Tom on his new J.O.B in North Carolina and their (Tom and Rhonda) impending move...we really feel for you both.

So it's been awhile since we last posted. Tyler isn't apparently up on the whole posting thing anymore, so it's up to me tp do it during my abundance of free time. Not much has changed since we last posted anything worth reading. We were able to go back home for Christmas which was absolutely wonderful. I'm still terribly home sick, so it was really hard to leave. OH! We got a new puppy. She's precious. Her name is Sadie. She's from a rescue that takes animals off of the streets of Mexico. Her name was Spade, but that really didn't flow with the rest of our pets' names....Corkie, Noddy, Abbey..see what I mean. She's a pretty well behaved puppy, but she has an issue with pissing outside. Apparently when she goes outside with Abbey she forgets what she's suppose to be doing and then procedes to come inside and piss in the floor. Oh and she's apparently trying to dig a hole to China in the backyard. We've tried all the usual methods to get her to stop digging, but they have'nt worked yet.suggestions, please let us know. If you have any She has learned to sit already and we've only had her 3 weeks. She will also come to her name...occasionally. Abbey loves her and they are really fun to watch when they play together. The cats think........well, you can imagine what they think of her. She hasn't figured out why they don't want to play with her, so she barks at them and trys to pounce on them, eventually she'll figure it out. She's found the newly planted Palm tree in our backyard to be a very entertaining toy. It looks like someone tried to trim it with a weedeater. We've put a fence around it, but she tunneled under it and proceeded to bark loudly at Abbey, who was on the outside of the fence. Here's a couple of pictures of her. The first one is of her today and the second one is when we first got her home.
Tyler says she looks like a Gremlin. We thinks she's mostly lab, but she has REALLY long legs, so she might be lab snd great dane, but were' hoping it's lab and something smaller. Tyler says that if we say she's a weiner dog, then we can will her to be a smaller dog. There you go that's what's been going on in the exciting world of Kelly and Tyler.

Happy New Year, Everyone.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOM

***********************************WARNING**************************
I recently found this "document" and found it to be entertaining, yet alarming. protest me (15 million people), shattering the record for protest against any person in the history of mankind.
•Dissolved more international treaties than any president in U.S. history.
•My presidency is the most secretive and unaccountable of any in U.S. history.
•Members of my cabinet are the richest of any administration in U.S. history (the 'poorest' multimillionaire, Condoleezza Rice, has an Exxon oil tanker named after her).
•First president in U.S. history to have all 50 states of the Union simultaneously go bankrupt.
•Presided over the biggest corporate stock market fraud of any market in any country in the history of the world.
•First president in U.S. history to order a U.S. attack and military occupation of a sovereign nation.
•Created the largest government department bureaucracy in the history of the United States.
•Set the all-time record for biggest annual budget spending increases, more than any president in U.S. history.
•First president in U.S. history to have the United Nations remove the U.S. from the human rights commission.
•First president in U.S. history to have the United Nations remove the U.S. from the elections monitoring board.
•Removed more checks and balances, and have the least amount of congressional oversight than any presidential administration in U.S. history.
•Rendered the entire United Nations irrelevant.
•Withdrew from the World Court of Law.
•Refused to allow inspectors access to U.S. prisoners of war and by default no longer abide by the Geneva Conventions.
•First president in U.S. history to refuse United Nations election inspectors (during the 2002 U.S. elections).
•All-time U.S. (and world) record holder for most corporate campaign donations.
•My biggest lifetime campaign contributor presided over one of the largest corporate bankruptcy frauds in world history (Kenneth Lay, former CEO of Enron Corporation).
•Spent more money on polls and focus groups than any president in U.S. history.
•First president in U.S. history to unilaterally attack a sovereign nation against the will of the United Nations and the world community.
•First president to run and hide when the U.S. came under attack (and then lied saying the enemy had the code to Air Force 1)
•First U.S. president to establish a secret shadow government.
•Took the biggest world sympathy for the U.S. after 9/11, and in less than a year made the U.S. the most resented country in the world (possibly the biggest diplomatic failure in U.S. and world history).
•With a policy of 'disengagement' created the most hostile Israeli-Palestine relations in at least 30 years.
•Fist U.S. president in history to have a majority of the people of Europe (71%) view my presidency as the biggest threat to world peace and stability.
•First U.S. president in history to have the people of South Korea more threatened by the U.S. than their immediate neighbor, North Korea.
•Changed US policy to allow convicted criminals to be awarded government contracts.
•Set all-time record for number of administration appointees who violated U.S. law by not selling huge investments in corporations bidding for government contracts.
•Failed to fulfill my pledge to get Osama Bin Laden 'dead or alive.'
•Failed to capture the anthrax killer who tried to murder the leaders of our country at the United States Capital building. After 18 months I have no leads and zero suspects.
•In the 18 months following the 9/11 attacks I have successfully prevented any public investigation into the biggest security failure in the history of the United States.
•Removed more freedoms and civil liberties for Americans than any other president in U.S. history.
•In a little over two years created the most divided country in decades, possibly the most divided the U.S. has ever been since the Civil War.
•Entered office with the strongest economy in U.S. history and in less than two years turned every single economic category heading straight down.

Records and References
•At least one conviction for drunk driving in Maine (Texas driving record has been erased and is not available)
•AWOL from National Guard and deserted the military during a time of war.
•Refuse to take drug test or even answer any questions about drug use.
•All records of my tenure as governor of Texas have been spirited away to my father's library, sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public view.
•All records of any SEC investigations into my insider trading or bankrupt companies are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public view.
•All minutes of meetings for any public corporation I served on the board are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public view.
•Any records or minutes from meetings I (or my VP) attended regarding public energy policy are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public review.
•For personal references please speak to my daddy or uncle James Baker (they can be reached at their offices of the Carlyle Group for war-profiteering.)

Source: Kelley Kramer

Well, what do you think? Scary, huh? Granted some of the content is most definetly exaggerated for shock value, but it's scary to think anyone could have that kind of a track record and be allowed to run the country. Just makes me want to be more tuned in to what is going on with our leaders.

Complete Waste Of Time...

So...I was on my way home from work when I saw one of those "will work for food" guys on the corner, but this one was sitting on the ground with the sign in his lap... think about it.

Tyler got a JOB!!! It's not ideal, but still it's money and that's what's important right now. He goes in tomorrow for orientation and he starts Monday morning at 9:30AM. He will work Mon-Fri 9:30-6:00. The name of the company he'w working for is GoDaddy.com. He will be doing soft sales, which means there is an opportunity for bonuses and he's not going to be one of those aggrevating telemarketers that call during dinner or your favorite show. He will get benefits in 90 days, so things are finally looking up. Call it wishfull thinking, but I always thought we would graduate and have no problems finding jobs, but that is certainly not the case. Well, just thought I'd let those of you who care know.

So..... I forgot my username and password, so I'm using Tyler's login because his is easier to remember. Tyler took some more pictures of the house and the area and he wanted to share them with all of you. Mark, you probably recognize these clouds, but this is what the Arizona sky looks like when a "monsoon" storm is moving in. Monsoon in Phoenix does not necessarily mean lots of rain, so don't let it fool you. Instead, it means thunder, lightening, wind, and big freaking dust storms. My parent's came to visit this week and after one day of 4 people fighting over the recliner, my mom "made" us go buy furniture, so here's a pic of our new sofa and loveseat,. They also bought us a ton of groceries, which was a wonderful suprise. My mom has been cooking quite a bit since she got her, so we've been able to have amazing dinners and breakfast. Tyler also wanted to show you all the bookcases he built. He used the one from our living room in Stillwater as the design and built them to look just like it. They really look good, don't you think? Anyways, that's about it for now, so enjoy!!

Well...We have finally gotten settled in AZ and yes it's hotter than hell. Today the temp. Is suppose to reach 112 and yeah I know it's a "dry heat," but 112 is hot no matter how you look at it. I start work on Monday and I already have 25 kiddos, which is just 10 short of a full caseload, so I should stay pretty busy. Tyler has an interview on Friday with a construction company that builds industrial buildings. The position is for a field engineer, so it seems pretty interesting (to him). Keep your fingers crossed!!

My parents are coming out the same day I start work and they are going to be here a week and then they are driving to Vegas, which is about a 6 hour drive from here. My little sister is flying out on the August 2 to go to Vegas with my parents. It's going to be hectic starting a new job and entertaining family, but it will be nice to see my family b/c I have been a little homesick.

We have family visiting basically until November, but October is still free if anyone wants to come visit. I figure if we work things right we can have company just about every month for the first year, which is just fine with me (of course we'll see how I feel after the fact). Our house is large enough to accommodate everyone, so I don't think anyone should get in the way.

Speaking of our house it's pretty awesome. It's three bedrooms, 2.5 bath and about 1600 sq. Ft. The kitchen is nice and open to the
living room and the dining room. The 1/2 bath is downstairs off of the "great room." There is a second smaller living room just inside the front door, which is serving as our exercise room for the time being. All of the bedrooms and the other 2 bathrooms (guest bathroom) are upstairs. The laundry room is upstairs as well. Moving a washing machine up 3-levels of very tight angled stairs is a bitch Here's one more pic. it's just a little nook next to the stairs (bookcase). There really isn't a better way to explain it. Anyways, you all will have to make a trip out here to see the place for yourself.

That's all I've got.

Later.

And drumroll please.... here is our place in Mesa Az. I can't believe my college days are coming to an end.......at least for a year or so.

I would like to wish my beautiful wife a Happy 24th Birthday.

Lets see.... were to begin. Kelly and I have been married now for just over 3 weeks.... and its awesome! I am still on the job hunt something for now as well as something for when I graduate. Our last semester of college started today and well I haven’t been to class ( 1st one a 1:30pm he he) but Kelly has been to one of hers and well lets just say its not going to be a blow off semester. I know I haven’t been posting very much but with the wedding and 19 hrs of class there wasn’t a whole lot of time. so lets see if I can do better this semester.

You all have a great week.

So I finished the first eight weeks of my last fall semester of grad school....does that make sense? I moved back to my parent's house last weekend, so that I could do my externship at Bethany Public Schools. My parent's are in Vegas this week, so I'm all alone and it sucks. I've never really spent any significant amount of time alone, so I must admit that I was a little freaked out last night. I locked every door in the house and locked myself in my parent's room with their two very little dogs. I know it's a little extreme, but, hey, I basically moved right out of my parent's house and in with Tyler, so I'm not an experienced at going solo.

As for being away from Tyler, yeah, it really stinks. Originally, I thought moving home was a great idea. You know that whole absence makes the heart grow fonder thing, but I've have since discovered how much I really enjoy his company.

Anyways, the wedding plans are moving along at a fairly slow pace. We are having trouble with the invitations and finding someone to marry us, but all in all things are going smoothly. Luckily, Tyler and I are more interested in having a good time ourselves that we aren't stressing to much about what other people want and think, so it's making things alot easier. It's something like 66 days away or something, so mark your calendars.

I thought you all could use this feel good picture to brighten up your day. have a great weekend all.

Sorry its been so long. That's if he's on his best behavior...ha. We are just planning on a small ceremony here in Stillwater at the Bennett Chapel and then a casual reception, possibly at the community center if it's decent. We hope to keep the whole atmosphere relaxed, so there will be no tuxes(?) for anyone. I think the theme is going to be winter-y. So my blogs will probably be limited to venting my fustrations and begging for ideas considering my lack of creativity. My mom's excited, so hopefully she will be a lot of help and she's an awesome decorator, so the places, though small, will look amazing, if she has her hands in on it all. Suprisingly, we are finding that our families have a lot of previously inknow sources that can help with catering, photography, and music.

Well, don't expect a lot of blogs (no more than Tyler) from me b/c I'm really not a computer person. I don't even give my email address out to anyone . I just get on a few times a day to check about three sites and then the rest of my computer time is spent doing paperwork for my clinic. If anything goes wrong I turn it off and ask Tyler to fix it.

Oh, yeah I have only 16 weeks of official classes left. The last 8 weeks of each of my remaining semesters will be spend in externships. This fall I will be working in the Bethany Public Schools, so I will be staying at my parent's and then I hope to stay around here for the next semester. I do have two big exams, Comps and the Praxis, that I have to take, but I will worry about them when they get a little closer. Then Tyler and I hope to get away from this god forsaken state for awhile at least.

Tyler and I are off to Eastern Tennessee next week to visit Tom and Rhonda for a week. We are going to visit them for a few days and then take our time heading back, so we can stop in some of the more popular places like Memphis and Nashville. I'm really looking forward to a vacation and some time away form Stillwater. I'm so pleased that I've agreed to go several hours out of our way on the way back , so Tyler can make a Detour to Springfield, Mo. to visit the Grizzle tool store there.

If you have any suggestions on wedding planning or ideas, please send them our way b/c we have absolutely no idea what we are doing.

Hey All,

Well today I put in my notice at the once beloved Creative Labs. Well lets just say that it hasn't so beloved since we have been required to do at least 10 mails an hour I was getting pretty dame sick of it, and I will be able to get as many hours as I need at the engineering job with the possibility of a raise in the near future.
